1.  The number 1 reason you send holiday greeting cards is because cards make you happy.  What do you open first?  The bills? No, the greeting card!  Not only does it feel good to receive but it feels even better to give.

2.  Show people in you life that they are important to you.  Send holiday greeting cards to your family members, your Mom, your Grandmother, they’ll feel like they raised you right.  Don’t forget to put in a personal thank you for something nice that they have done for you.

3.  It makes people happy.  Get those real photos of the kids, the grandkids, a family vacation or special event in your holiday cards.  Older people enjoy photos more than they enjoy something online since many of them don’t use a computer.

4.  Someone needs to hear from you!  It’s nice to be thought of…and it’s nice to think of others.  I can’t tell you the number of people who tell me it was so nice to be included.

5.  If you’re in business, it allows you to reach out to your clients and customers.  Send them a heartfelt message letting them know how much you appreciate them.  Don’t send them some generic card, send them a card that represents who you are and your business.  Make it fun and unique so that it sets you apart from everyone else.  Doing this will help build stronger, lasting business relationships.  You might even consider adding a gift for those very special clients, the ones that refer you business.  Remember to include a personal note inside the card, this can be the difference between a throw-away holiday card and one that is kept and remembered.  Oh, by the way…sending greeting cards and notes to clients helped us build a multi-million dollar real estate business all by referral.

6.  In business, it keeps you top of mind.  It is much easier and cheaper to build relationships with clients to keep them than it is to get new ones.  Instead of advertising to them send them a greeting card reminding them how much you care about them and the holiday greeting card is just another way to say this.

7.  The Post Office needs you to do your part!

7 Reasons We Don’t Send Greeting Cards

1.  They cost too much.  The price can range from $2-$10, with the average cost around $3.50 per card.

2.  It takes too much time.  It’s not always convenient to go to the store, sign the card, address it, stamp it and go to the post office or find a mailbox to mail it.

3.  You forget to send them.  This is the number 1 reason.

4.  You think it’s easier to send an e-card.  e Cards are known virus carriers and therefore filtered by most business e-mail servers. They don’t even reach the inbox of the customer or client you send them to.

5.  Your cheap.  And your not thinking.  Last year I received an e-mail Holiday card from a client that said he was boycotting the post office and this was my Holiday card.  Really…

6.  They’re not personal.

7.  It’s not environmentally friendly.

Make sure you check out the video above and see why we send greeting cards to our clients every chance we get.

Did you know that there is a holiday almost everyday for the entire year?
